Who we are:

AYBA provides a fun, competitive, and development-focused recreational basketball experience for boys and girls ages 5–16 throughout Ascension Parish and its surrounding communities. Our goal is to teach the fundamentals of basketball, promote good sportsmanship and teamwork, and provide a positive experience for players of all skill levels.

The 2027 season includes programs at St. Amant, Prairieville, Dutchtown, and Galvez, with age divisions based on each player’s age as of December 31, 2026.

Practices begin after Thanksgiving, with games played on Saturdays from January through March.

All registered players are guaranteed placement on a team.

Volunteers Needed:

We are always looking for community-minded people willing to volunteer some time to AYBA. Try coaching a team. Or, being an assistant coach. How about lending a hand as a concession stand operator or assistant? Contact us if interested at johnq.ayba@gmail.com
